Winter Carnival Wonderland

We're back!

I know the the fresh mountain air -- and sunshine -- in McCall did me a lot of good! Too bad it was so warm up there. The snow sculptures were dripping, and many of them lost parts due to the warm sun. We saw an adorable Candy Land, a "Sharlie" serpent, a medieval castle, and a lovely king and queen seated on thrones. Sadly, the poor queen had a crude replacement head because her elaborately carved one fell off.

But the sculptures were still plenty impressive, and we all had a great time playing in the snow -- including Enzo. He loves getting a chance to let his mountain dog instinct come out. He burrowed, leaped, and wrestled leafless shrubs into submission. In fact, he made it nearly impossible to get this picture because he didn't sit still for much more than 5 seconds.

Isn't he handsome?
