A simple antidote to Mommy Mania

I had a particularly crazy day last week, which was especially nuts during the hour just prior to my departure for work.

I managed to get meals/snacks packed, and make myself somewhat presentable, just before whisking Kellan out of the house and into his carseat. As we pulled away from the house, my mind was spinning with worry over a problem I knew was waiting for me at the office, mixed with nagging anxiety that somehow I'd forgotten to do/take something. 

Then two simple words cut through the frenzied chatter in my head:

"Mommy! Pretty!"

Nothin' like an unsolicited compliment from a two-year-old to take the edge off a case of Mommy Mania.
