So far, I have loose plans to make a guitar cake, hopefully looking somewhat like the one pictured above. I know -- wish me luck. We're also going to get the karaoke machine out -- whoo hoo! But that's really all I have going at this point. I guess I should figure out some party snacks, but I really don't have to do a lot since we're just having immediate family and our good next door neighbor friends over.
I'm sure Kellan will be completely thrilled that we'll have a real mic for him to show off his singing skills. And as long as the Birthday Boy is happy, that's all that matters, right?
Awesome, a guitar cake! A word of advice, unless "food dye technologies" have come a long way since 1984, you might not want to do "red." All I know is that my X-Wing Fighter birthday cake had some authentic-looking red pinstripes, lasers, etc. that were horrifically bitter tasting. And I think they were up to Red Dye #57 at that point. Or maybe you could use pomegranate juice or something. I dunno.
ReplyDeleteAh, man, I wish I could come to the Rock Star birthday party!!! I could show Kellan how to rock out on the Kareokee machine as I've had some experience on that one! We may have to set up a skype call or something so I can watch Kellan perform...the videos are great, but they just don't do him justice! Good luck with the cake!
