It started great. So great, in fact, I made a snap decision that today would be the day to not load up on cup after cup of coffee. Kellan slept past 8:30 am this morning, which meant I did too. So for once in a very great while, I didn't wake up and think I was going to drop dead on the spot from exhaustion.
Great day to let the coffee pot gather dust, right?
Wrong. Especially since I did not have any kind of plan to ease the pain later in the day.
By about 2:30, the headache snuck up on me. It came on ever so gently (if you can call a headache gentle), leading me to believe it might come and go.
At 4:30, I realized it wasn't going anywhere, no matter how many ibuprofen I popped.
After a long day of staring at a computer, I spent the last hour of my workday in a very brightly lit room. The computer/light exposure really got the headache pain firing on all cylinders.
Don't worry though...I'm better now. The remedy? Dim lighting and exactly three Hershey's Special Dark Kisses. Well, I may end up eating another. Or five.
Ah, the healing powers of chocolate.
ReplyDeleteHa!! The one day I watch the news. I never would have known. I guess that's why you get paid the big bucks, huh?!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better. Headaches are the worst!!!
In my experiences of headaches brought on by (and the increased pain) from good ol' Fox 12, five pieces of chocolate won't cut it. You need more. I'm here for you sista!! Feel better!
