Here we go.
We have a new president.
Kellan doesn't really know what the word President means, but I am thrilled that he is growing up in a world where a man like Barack Obama can lead this country.
We had a little watch party this morning -- just the two of us -- to take in the significance of this moment in history.
Kellan was quite taken with the "in-ments" (instruments), especially the man playing the recorder (clarinet). He was also pretty fascinated by the giant bow on Aretha Franklin's hat.
Wow -- the emotions that Michelle Obama must be feeling at this moment!!
I know we don't all see eye-to-eye about the new administration. However, I think President Obama has shown grace, courage and the ability to think outside the box. And I think perhaps all of us can agree we need all the help we can get right now.

Happy Inauguration Day to you!! I'm glad you guys had a fun little viewing party! I watched it in my cublicle with a few coworkers (which is odd b/c we all have tv's but oh well) We were all so happy! And we were all facinated by that big ol'bow too.
